Sun pendant
Another friend of mine ask if i could make her a gift for her mother's birthday. She told me she wanted a necklace and her mom liked the sun. So i come up with the idea a pendant out of wood with a amber core. She loved the idea. And so i bought a raw amber from the internet.
Next i formed the amber into a circle with sandpaper and water.
Then i cut a piece of wood also in a circle and drilled a hole in the middle.
After that i glued the amber in the wood piece and draw some sunbeams on it.
With some drilled holes and a Dremel i carved the design out of the wood.
Lastly i sanded it smooth and oiled it with teak oil.
I think the sunbeams were a bit to thin but my friend said it is okay and she liked it.
First time i worked with amber and maybe i will come back to it.
