Horse cabinet

Horse cabinet

A friend of mine was about to buy a horse at the time and she needed a cabinet to store all the equipment for the horse.

So she ask me if I could build her one.

I hardly can decline a request from a friend so I said yes.

So I went to the hardware store and bought some wood for the frame.

I also had two doors from a old wardrobe laying around from the previous owner of my house.

After we discussed what layout the cabinet should have I began to work.

The plan was really simple. I cuttend everything to the right length and glued and screwed all together.

Also I added some holes in the bottom to allow for some airflow.

To the doors I added a frame because they weren't wide enough.

Next I painted the whole thing black, because she wanted it that way.

While the paint was drying I worked on a shelf for one of the doors. The other got some hangers.

And since the cabinet was for horse equipment I got some thin plywood and printed some silhouettes from a horse.

I traced them to the plywood and cut it out.

After that i glued them on the front of each door.

Then I installed the hinges and installed a lock to the cabinet

And with that the cabinet was finished.

My friend was really happy and loved it. Also some other people from the stable were amazed and were asking for some commissions. Unfortunately I couldn't take them because I already had the next project in the pipeline.
